How I Work
Step 01. The Dream Audit
This is where I set aside time with you before designing to learn all about you and your business. I want to know your hopes, dreams and even fears. What you love and what you don't. The things nobody else is asking you.
Step 02. Ready, Sketch and Design!
This is where we move forward into the project and start designing. The ideas are flying, and we must weed out the bad ones to get to the good stuff. I will sketch out design ideas from everything we have discussed. Once these are completed you will be able to pick which direction you would like to go. Now we can push forward into the design.
Step 03. The Clarity
With each new version we begin to gain clarity and each round takes on something new. That is when things start looking good. Behind the curtain, I am working hard going back and forth on your design to ensure the best results.
Step 04. Eureka! Presentation Time
Once the dust settles, I have a design that stands out from the rest. A great reflection on you is a great reflection on me and that's why I don't let you see the final design until we are at a 90% completion stage.
Revisions
Let's talk about aesthetic revisions for a moment. First let's define what a revision is. It's textbook really... the act or process of making different. In my case, an aesthetic revision would be changing how the design of something looks or functions.
I have tried every method possible when handling revision requests for clients. From an open-door policy for any revision they wanted (worst idea ever), to added hourly billing (never fun), all the way down to a limited number of revisions allowed for the project. And guess what? It rarely, if ever, improved project results.
Putting the word 'Revision' in your mind before we even start designing implies that there will be shortcomings or initial failures on my part. Let's think in terms of ideas.
I look forward to working with you!
